1 package Duff white dessert mix
3 large egg whites
3/4 cup flour
1 cup white sugar
1 ¼ cups water
1 cup sour cream
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1 tsp almond extract
1 tsp vanilla extract

½ cup butter
¼ cup water
1 cup white sugar
½ cup amaretto liqueur

1 (16 oz) package white ready to use chocolate frosting
¼ cup slivered almonds

1. Preheat oven to 325°F. Grease and flour a 11 x 13 in cake pan.

2. In a large bowl, mix together the white dessert mix, flour and sugar in a large bowl until well mixed. Pour in the water, sour cream, vegetable oil, almond and vanilla extracts, and egg whites, and beat with an electric mix on low until all the ingredients are mixed and moistened but some lumps still remain, about 2-3 minutes.

3. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan, and bake in the preheated oven until the top is a light golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean, about 25 minutes. Cool completely before frosting.
